Our Mission
We actively aim to support and empower children with Type 1 Diabetes and their families, by providing essential care packages filled with delicious and nutritious low carb snacks, and offering education and support to help them manage their condition and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
The Groundbreaking Initiative
Brother’s Jordan and Noah Antevy are the co-founders of an initiative for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes. Jordan, as President, manages the organization's functionality and finances. Noah, as Marketing Director, shares his own experience to inspire support.
The Team Behind the Mission
The mission relies on team members like Joshua Antevy, the IT Director, overseeing technology. Reese Greiner, Volunteer Coordinator, mobilizes volunteers. And Erika Wasserman, Marketing Advisor, offers strategic guidance. Through hard work and a collective effort we have made a notable impact in the Type 1 Diabetes Community.
Generous Donors
We have set up productive partnerships with Flying Chimps Graphic Design Company, Highkey, Shrewd Food, Birch Benders, Iwon Organics, Simple Mills. They play a large role in the supply of the healthy low carb snacks we strategically place in our care packages.
Our Why
In January of 2020, Noah was diagnosed with new onset Type 1 Diabetes. Witnessing his hospital experience, characterized by significant mental and physical turmoil due to large blood sugar fluctuations, highlighted a critical gap in care. Our organization, Dia-Beat It, was inspired by this ordeal. Through our surveys, we discovered that families of newly diagnosed diabetics often receive only basic education in insulin usage and carb counting while in the hospital. Noah's journey made it evident that proper food choices and nutritional counseling are essential for a better experience. At Dia-Beat It, we are dedicated to sharing the knowledge that took us nearly a year to accumulate, offering vital information and support to those newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We believe that by filling this gap in care, we can positively impact children and their families for years to come.
The Founders
Jordan Antevy
Dia-Beat It is a passion project my brother and I founded, driven by my own experiences as a Type-1 Diabetic since I was 11 years old. My name is Noah, and I remember the challenging days in the hospital, struggling with high-carb foods that only worsened my condition. I still recall a night when insulin administration led to an unwanted spike in my blood sugar due to eating graham crackers. This experience stayed with me, and years later, it inspired me to create Dia-Beat It. My aim is to alleviate the stress for kids who are newly diagnosed by providing them with a care package filled with healthy, tasty, low-carb snacks right from their admission to the hospital. This initiative helps them start managing their blood sugar levels wisely from day one.
As the co-founder and President of Dia-Beat It, my heart is deeply intertwined with our mission, a connection sparked by my brother Noah's journey with Type 1 Diabetes. Witnessing his battle and bravery firsthand has filled me with a profound sense of empathy and a resolute commitment to bring real change to those grappling with this life-altering diagnosis. At Dia-Beat It, we do more than just deliver care packages; we extend a hand of hope and strength to families during their most challenging times. Every day, I am moved and inspired by the resilience and courage I see in Noah and the many families we've had the privilege to support. My dedication goes beyond advocacy and support: it's about nurturing a community where the challenges of diabetes become a path to empowerment, strength, and growth.
