“I Am Greater Than My Highs and Lows”

Dia-Beat It is an organization my brother and I created two years after becoming I became a Type-1 Diabetic. My name is Noah and, when I was 11 years old, I was admitted to the hospital where the food choices I was offered were all high in carbs and kept spiking my sugars and made me feel lousy. One night, after the nurses gave me insulin, I lost my appetite and didn’t want to eat. With the insulin on board they rushed in and gave me a pack of graham crackers which wound up spiking me to over 250. Years later I realize that my experience could have been better. My goal with Dia-Beat It is to ease the stress of kids who are newly diagnosed by giving them a care package full of healthy and tasty low carb snacks as soon as they are admitted to the hospital so they can begin to manage their sugars wisely, right from the start. With your purchase of a “Never Quit Hoodie” we are able to create one care package for a child when they are diagnosed. We have specially partnered with the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital who have my boxes ready to go so children and their families can benefit right away. It has been 4-years and my Mom and I have managed T1D very well I can finally say that “I am greater than my highs and lows.” I’m ready to help others do the same and I hope you will join our cause.
